A new Parkinson’s treatment that works at night?

Ian was interviewed by Parkinson's UK to discuss the function of the glymphatic system in regards to how we could potentially boost its activity. The glymphatic system is particularly active during sleep, but may also be enhanced during exercise and in response to small quantities of sugar and alcohol. In future work, furthering the understanding of how this brain clearance system operates will provide insight as to how we can achieve improved clearance of toxic proteins in Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
